Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (S) has been adopted.
A new Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (S) has been adopted. The research period is five years, from 2018 to 2022, and the total direct cost is 148.8 million yen (total cost 193.44 million yen). Dr. Nakano will be the principal investigator of the project, which will focus on the construction of a new science for the induction of bone anisotropy. In addition to the Nakano Lab staff, the research team will include Takuya Matsumoto, Professor of Dentistry, Okayama University; Tsuyoshi Murase, Associate Professor of Medicine, Osaka University; Koji Sakai, Professor of Medicine, Yamaguchi University; Mitsuyo Tudai, Associate Professor, Niihama National College of Technology; Eiji Fukuda, Assistant Professor, Yuge National College of Commerce; and Mariko Yamamoto, Professor, Kansai Women's Junior College. All of us in the research group will work together to achieve results that exceed our research expenses. We look forward to your guidance and support.
Prof. Nakano was awarded JSPS Prize, and became an honorary professor (title) in 2018.
Prof. Takayoshi Nakano has received the 8th Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Award (2011). The award was given for his multidisciplinary research on bone microstructure and bone substitute materials from the viewpoint of materials engineering.
