The 2nd Electron Microscope School was held at Osaka University High Voltage Electron Microscope Center on August 28-30, 2024.
Although the school was in jeopardy due to an approaching typhoon, it was successfully held.
The lecturers were Prof. Kazuhisa Sato, Prof. Satoshi Ichikawa and others of Group A02b - Lattice Defect Analysis at Ultra-High Temperatures: Advanced Analytical Materials Science.
Participants attended the school with great enthusiasm. The first day of the school consisted of a plenary lecture, and from the second day, intensive training tailored to the level of the participants was conducted.
Through the school, the participants were able to learn about microstructural analysis using transmission electron microscopy and enhance their ability to apply it.
We hope that the techniques learned by the participants will take root in their research field and be further developed in the future.
